TOWN OF NANTICOKE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR AMBULANCE CONTRACTS FOR THE YEAR 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Nanticoke on November 11, 2025 commencing at 7:00 p.m. at Nanticoke Town Hall, 755 Cherry Valley Hill Road, Maine, NY for the purpose of considering ambulance contracts between 

(A) Maine Emergency Squad, Inc. ("MESI") and (B) Broome Volunteer Emergency Squad, Inc. ("BVESI") pursuant to which MESI and BVESI agree to furnish ambulance service within the Town of Nanticoke for the year of 2026 commencing on January 1, 2026. The total payments to be made by the Town to MESI and BVESI for the year 2026 under the Agreements shall be: (a) a sum not to exceed $82,520.00 to MESI ($51,500.00 being the amount to be raised from real property taxes and $31,020.00 being the estimated proceeds of MESI billing), and (b) a sum not to exceed $25,071.60 to BVESI ($10,200.00 being the amount to be raised from real property taxes and $14,871.60 being the estimated proceeds ofBVESI billing). 

Copies of the proposed contracts are on file and may be examined at the office of the undersigned Town Clerk. All persons interested in the matter will be heard at the above-described public hearing and have the right to provide written and oral comments concerning the proposed contracts or any portion thereof. Persons with disabilities who require assistance in attending said public hearing, or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned to request such assistance.
